American Express Hilton Ascend 125,000 Points + $100 Available Via Dummy Booking

The Offer

Offer is showing up when on the payment page when doing a dummy booking on Hilton.com, you don’t actually need to complete the reservation. You should see an offer for the no annual fee card, keep scrolling and then this offer shows

  • American Express is offering 125,000 Hilton points after $2,000 in spend within the first three months on the Hilton Ascend card. You also get a $100 statement credit after your first purchase

Card Details

  • Welcome bonus offer not available to applicants who have or have had this product or the Hilton Honors Surpass Card
  • Not a new card vs the Surpass
  • Annual fee of $95
  • Card earns at the following rates:
    • 12X Hilton Honors Bonus Points at hotels and resorts in the Hilton portfolio worldwide
    • 6X Hilton Honors Bonus Points at U.S. supermarkets, U.S. restaurants, and U.S. gas stations
    • 3X Hilton Honors Bonus Points on all other eligible purchases
  • 10 free priority pass lounge passes
  • Complimentary Hilton Honors gold status. Earn Diamond status after spending $40,000 in purchases within a calendar year

  • No foreign transaction fees

Our Verdict

Best offer has been 150,000 points via incognito mode. What offer you prefer will really depend on how you value Hilton points. Personally I would prefer $100 cash than 25,000 Hilton points, but I know others will strongly disagree and prefer the points. As always if you have any questions, read this post about American Express cards first. I’ll likely add this to our list of the best credit card bonuses as I think it’s a strong offer.

Hilton Honors Card 75K/$1K + $100 SC and Hilton Honors Business Card 125K/$3K + $100 SC from dummy booking now available directly from https://apply.americanexpress.com/hilton-dual-card/

Dummy Booking / Link does not offer the Surpass or Aspire with FWN that is avaialble directly from https://hiltonhonors3.hilton.com/en/earn-use-points/credit-cards/index.html or from referrals for the personal cards.

Few questions . I upgraded my no fee Hilton card to the Aspire card 2 days ago and have yet to get the new card but I see that online is showing my hilton card as Aspire with Diamond status.
Can I now buy the SW GC to get the credit? The rep told me my card is already aspire card even though I don’t have yet the new Aspire card. When will I be charged the $450 AF? Where do you spend the $4K now? I hope I can meet this req within 90 days. I know it is PIA these days .

Hilton is offering $100 credits for some of its credit cards from links seen when making a dummy reservation. The links appear as banners on the payment page. You do not have to pay for (and therefore do not have to reserve) a stay. I saw different offers using private and non-private windows and from https://www3.hilton.com/en/index.html and https://hiltonhonors3.hilton.com/en/index.html, one for the free standard offer, one for the $95 Ascend offer, and one for the $95 business card. For the latter, click on the tab on the offer page for the personal card you get. All offer mega points bonuses. I had to first log in to see the offers.

Yeah, i’m getting the same as you. I guess its YMMV. (If you click on the business card tab, i saw 125K + $100 credit for 3K spend. Not sure if this is a good deal)

Making a booking this way almost screwed me last year after they approved my for the Hilton personal no AF version instead of the HH Biz which I applied for. I would rather self refer like others mentioned

If I refer myself or others, I still get 10,000 MR (or 20,000 Hilton points depending on which card I use to refer worth at least $100) and the person I refer get 150,000 Hilton points. I think this is better than 125,000 plus $100. The spend is lower on this one at $2k.

Self referral is 150k+ atleast 10,000 MR depending on the AMEX card you are referring from.
