American Express Hilton Increased Bonuses (Up To 175,000 Points)

The Offers

Direct link to offer

  • American Express has a number of increased offers currently on the Hilton cards:
    • Hilton Honors Card – Earn a Free Night Reward + 70,000 Bonus Points
    • Hilton Honors Surpass® Card – Earn a Free Night Reward + 130,000 Bonus Points
    • Hilton Honors Aspire Card – Earn 175,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points (this also comes with a free night certificate as standard)
    • Hilton Honors Business Card – Earn 175,000 Bonus Points

Our Verdict

I think the no annual fee and Surpass are competitive/same as previous all time highs and Aspire is just 5,000 points off the all time high. With Hilton I’d make sure you have a short to medium term use for the points and free night certificate, otherwise just wait for a better offer to return. We will add this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.

What exactly is 70,000 points worth in $$?

Is that enough for a week in a mid-tier hotel in a mid-tier city?

Mine was worth 3 nights plus a free fourth in an all inclusive in resort in playa del Carmen

Are these Hilton amex cards better than having cap1 venture and earn miles with them? I mean both have spending requirement and provide points for vacations (flight or hotel). it is kind of hard to do both for me.

Apples and Oranges. Cap 1 points can be transferred to different partners and can be worth a lot. These Hilton points are for Hilton. Hilton points are worth .5 points (arguably more at some places).

I always see people saying they get value out of Hilton points but it just isn’t worth it for me. There are almost always better options for the spend/time/effort. If they started offering 500k bonuses maybe.

Hilton, Marriott, Amex, all these FREAKIN’ companies should DOUBLE their sign-up bonuses because these greedy motherf–(shhutyomouth!) cannot help themselves with the gahdam devaluations. Where’s our 250K or 400K SOB??

Only the aspire card is worth applying but only IF it has zero annual fee. The $550 on it makes the card worth -$200 meaning you wasted $200 if you apply and get approved

Tim, even as cynical as I’ve become, I still like the Aspire (as-is) so long as you use the anniversary free night each year for something that costs more than the annual fee, it’s at least breakeven. And the benefits of Diamond outweigh the rest. Plus, $50/quarter United Travel Bank (there’s $200/year), $400 in semi-annual resort credits (more difficult to use, but if you do, then it’s for sure a money maker). I still like the card. It’s a ‘keeper’ to me.
