American Express Opens Centurion Lounge at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)

Today American Express has opened the centurion lounge at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). The lounge is nearly 12,000 square feet and is located in Terminal 2, past the South Security Checkpoint. Lounge is open Sunday – Friday from 5:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. ET and Saturday from 5:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. ET.

We’re going to ‘storm the (lounge)’! Glad to see Amex (Chase, and Capital One) continue to expand their presence at major domestic airports. Make DCA like the new LGA (again)!

This is sorely needed as I don’t think DCA had a single PP lounge. Everyone with a Platinum I know goes from IAD.

That said, this lounge is extremely orientated towards commuters / short haul business. There is hardly any overnight / long haul accommodations. Will check it out soon

Maybe because DCA has a smaller runway so it doesn’t have the capacity for long haul international flights like IAD.
