American Express is sending out giftcards to some Platinum cardholders as part of their #AmExAppreciates program. This round seems to be focused on Charles Tyrwhitt. As with past offers there doesn’t seem to be anything specified that causes a cardholder to be targeted (e.g. not by card held length or spend on the card).
Member since 94… nothing 😥
Customer loyalty has become so similar and diluted among competing brands, customers get lost in the “sleeves out of your vest” hype. Loyalty gurus tout data analysis and personalization yet still spell my name wrong on occasion. Time to up their game!
I have no idea what “sleeves out of your vest” means
I got that last year. This weekend I got a $100 to an online steak order company – No min to buy but $25 for shipping unless you spend $200. I’ve been a member since 1996.
Wait, this is not an appreciation gift card. This is just the typical amex offers advertising. Amex regularly gives “spend x, get x back” promos. This is a “spend $100, get $100 back” promo. Except there’s no way you can just spend $100 at this brand since they are so expensive. So it’s just a $100 discount.
If this $100 prono was just stuck in your amex app’s “offers” tab, people would have ignored it..instead, the merchant paid amex extra to send the promo coupons via mail, and it got a little bit more attention.
There are plenty of things under $100. They have a sweater that I like for $70. Ties are $50 each. T shirts are as cheap as $30.
Oh my bad, based on how amex described it, i assumed it was an expensive dress suits company. Thanks
I did once receive a $200 Tiffany discount code from Amex, which matched what you said..
Lots of people talking about how long they’ve been a cardholder. I imagine it’s about money spent not length of time.
I haven’t received this yet but received it previously. I called them because I was not happy to be given a gift to a men’s store gift card where I can’t buy anything for myself as the cardholder but I see they’re continuing it…
They have women’s clothing as well

I got $150!
Been an Amex platinum personal and biz cardholder for years since 2016 and have never once received a “gift” from them.
That’s not that long. Many of us have been longer and not received anything.
My husband has had (and used) his platinum card since 1990 and has never received one either.
i have been a member since `1983 and I have never been targeted for a gift from them either.
Dang… canceled Plat a while back, although I probably wouldn’t receive this offer anyway . Never have
