The Offer
Some people are seeing a spend offer on their American Express card to get 1-2% back when spending on the card. That’s on top of the regular rewards earned from the card. The offer needs to be saved in the AmEx Offers section of the login. Sample offers:
- Get a $10 statement credit when spending $500 or more. Offer can be done up to 3 times through 12/31/25.
- Get a $75 statement credit when spending $7,500 or more. Once you add the offer to your eligible Card, you will have 90 days to spend $7,500+ or more, up to 3 times during the offer period. Add by 12/31/25.
Our Verdict
The extra 1-2% could spruce up earn on a card which had good rewards.

2000 points for $4k spend on golds, platinums
Mine is spend $3K on Gold and get 3K MR points, up to 3 times
Spend $20K on Gold and get 10,000 MR points back, up to 3x. So let’s see. I can get 2x without thresholds on Citi DC and Cap X Venture, 1.5x without thresholds on CFU, or 1.5x MR points if I spend exactly $20K up to three times. Hard, hard pass. Very disappointing.
I received a spend $1500 get $15 offer (USE 3 TIMES) on my BCP.
Received Spend $8000 get 8000MR on gold and $8000 get 16000 HHpoints on Aspire, both up to 3x. How does it actually work? If I charge 24K to buy a car can I get the bonus 48000 HH points?

Spend $250 million get 500 million MR points. Can be done twice in 90 days.
The problem is I only have a $500 limit. 😟
Seriously though I did get $40 back on $100 spend on one card that can be done twice. A card I haven’t used in a year.

These are worse offers than they’ve had in the past. Amex is also doing very well financially because their customers have done very well the past few years even while the lower middle class has struggled.
