A bunch of people are seeing a popup in their American Express login with the following spend offer on their Starwood Preferred Guest personal card:
- Get 10,000 bonus points when spending $3,000 on your card.
- Others are getting a different offer of 15,000 bonus points with $6,500 in spend. There are other variations too.
The Fine Print
- Requires enrollment by November 20, 2018
- Spend must be completed between the time you enroll and December 24, 2018.
Our Verdict
Lands up at 5.33x per dollar on the $3,000 spend for the first offer mentioned (10k/$3k) which seems to be the most common. Not bad at all.

Just noticed a text box with this offer when I hit account services (also shows up under offers).
I just recently upgraded around two weeks back to the SPG Luxury so this is basically another free 10,000 points on top of the 100,000 points upgrade offer. Sweet.
I’m in the middle of a retention offer (20K points/$2K MSR/3 months) and signed up for the 10k/$3K offer. I’m hoping this lets me double dip and get both bonuses.

Mine came at the top as a gray bar and not in my offers area. I wonder if in response to everyone dropping their spend on these SPG cards lmao. I’d rather get a new card SUB.
Not on my card, but on my husbands. His was buried near the end of his offers so look there is you don’t see a popup.

I only got this when I used the new site login – it didn’t show using the old site login. Crazy variability…

My offer is:

Maybe. Neither my husband nor I have put much spend on it since the devaluation. He got an offer, I didn’t. But his annual fee is coming up this month so maybe that’s the difference.
I got 6,000 points with 2,000 spend + 4,000 points with 1,000 additional spend. But ending November 30th! In Amex Offers . And register by 10/31.
