Your webpage states that this offer expires on August 30th. Today is August 29th but I do not see this offer in the Ameriprise website. Has this deal been removed? Has it expired?

William Charles  Chuck It doesn’t look like you can become a client, which is required to take advantage of this offer, for free. I doubt many people would pay the fees charged by an Ameriprise Financial Advisor just for a savings bonus.

Please let me know if I’m missing something. I hope I’m wrong, but If I’m right, you should clarify/document the requirements/costs to become an Ameriprise Financial client and add some additional remarks under “Our Verdict”.

Lots of information on the other post for their previous promotion:
[Expired] Ameriprise Financial $500 Savings Bonus – Doctor Of Credit

You do not need to enroll in their financial advisor services or brokerage services to become a client. If you just open a Savings account, I believe there are no fees. What I did was that I just called them, said I wanted to open their Savings, and asked them to create a client ID for me. Then I used the client ID to register for my online account and opened my savings account from there. PaulinTexas

You still need to be a client before 06/30/2024 to be eligible for the savings bonus though

It does state in the disclosures that “Offers are only available to existing Ameriprise clients as of June 30, 2024 who have not received a savings bonus in the past 18 months.”

William Charles you may want to correct the title for existing customers only ?
I would be happy to be wrong 😉

Check the discloure: it states “Offers are only available to existing Ameriprise clients as of June 30, 2024 who have not received a savings bonus in the past 18 months.”

Actually the first point prior to that says: “Ameriprise clients can apply for this savings account online at anytime”.

You have to already be a client with them before being able to open the “new” savings account or have an existing one with them but haven’t had a bonus in the previous 18 months.

if you are referring this this ****Deposit New Money into your new or existing Ameriprise® Bank Savings Account by August 30, 2024. See the chart below for details. ****
Maybe you should read entire sentence completely ?

New or existing savings account. It doesn’t say anything about new or existing users/customers in the points. Lrdx

It is in the long list of disclosures and included in The Fine Print section of the post:
Offers are only available to existing Ameriprise clients as of June 30, 2024 who have not received a savings bonus in the past 18 months.

Joey

Edit: just realized you may already know this and was simply clarifying for Lrdx. Sorry.

If the hold was for 2-3 months I’d be in. 6 months is a hard pass.

Not worth it for me as will leave money in HYSA that I can withdraw at any time without any interest rate worries.

most of here are excluded since we probably did this last year, but new readers beware. As mentioned here, a 5% acct (UFB, Republic Bank of Chicago, Laurel road etc)earn 5% + which would equal 104.00 per month. If my math is correct (I’m no math genius) the 5% acct comes out exactly the same as the bonus, plus the 3.25% interest which is a loser. About plus 300.00, BUT you are tying up funds for over 6 months. They might not pay the bonus until March or April. Please correct if I’m missing something.

The math doesn’t seem to make this worth it. A 5% checking/savings/CD account would be a better deal, IMO.
