Currently the AmEx EveryDay & AmEx EverDay Preferred are not accepting new applications with all landing pages including referrals resulting in errors (looks like the Cash Magnet card is also resulting in errors).
I suspect these cards are either being discontinued entirely or are being refreshed and applications will go live again once the changes are announced. American Express said they would refresh 40 products this year and earlier this year the card designs on these cards were updated. If I had to guess it would be on these cards being refreshed.

This card is in dire need of a refresh. It’s just a boring card from the 2010s, and it takes up an Amex slot that charge cards don’t. Amex really shouldn’t count any of their own proprietary cards as cards for the 5 slots
They need to ditch the FX fees on ALL their cards. If Capital One, Discover and BILT can do it (among others), one would think that AMEX would step it up a bit. It just seems a bit petty for them to still have cards with FX fees. It’s AMEX for goodness sake.
They really should bring back the ZYNC card while they’re at it. It was ahead of it’s time.

I can’t say I’m surprised after the redesign with no change in benefits last month. I’ve got one from around when it launched and it’s mostly just an Amex Offer card for me at this point, and have been hoping for a refresh to make it a bit more useful, but alas. I wonder if the redesign was to cut costs for replacement blanks.
Amex seems to be content with letting people keep discontinued products in most cases (Optima, Clear, Zync, original Blue, Blue Sky, etc.) so it might be a fun little footnote in my wallet. I can’t say that the naming scheme was confusing for people (the amount of people on Reddit confusing the ED/EDP with BCE/BCP demonstrates that), but I wonder if there might be some forced or optional conversions down the road? I seem to recall some Blue and Blue Sky customers were offered the ability to convert to a BCE or Cash Magnet (I’m guessing with a window to use their MR balance), so maybe that will happen?
As for the Cash Magnet, I held one for awhile, and it hasn’t been competitive really at all. Worse acceptance than a Visa/Mastercard, a FTF, and no extended warranty—it’s bad when Capital One’s Quicksilver or the Freedom Unlimited are way more compelling options.
