The Fine Print
- Offer valid only on a new Sam’s Club Plus Membership (Plus-level membership only) purchased online only at US website samsclub.com/join. Not valid on Club memberships.
- Not valid on membership renewals, upgrades, add-ons or additional memberships.
- Excludes all other Sam’s Club purchases.
- Excludes any purchase of Sam’s Club Gift of Membership or Prepaid Sam’s Savings Membership.
- Lapsed memberships will only count as a new Sam’s Club Membership if such membership has been expired for over 6 months.
- Offer cannot be combined with any other Sam’s Club offer or promotion.
- Please note if you purchase a membership, unless you notify the merchant that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your membership will automatically renew for another membership period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). Our Verdict
Swagbucks is offering 50 SB per dollar on all membership purchases. They also have an offer for the Sam’s Club Plus membership with a $50 discount. That won’t stack with the AmEx Offers. So your two options are:
- Go straight to the membership page through Swagbucks (without clicking on their special $60 price option), pay the full $110. You should then get $40 back from AmEx and $55 back from Swagbucks for a final cost of $15.
- Ignore Amex, and just do the Swagbucks deal for $60 on the Plus membership. You’ll then get $30 back from Swagbucks for a total cost of $30 for the Plus membership.
- You can also buy regular Sam’s membership (not Plus) through Swagbucks for $25 through their special link, and then you should get $12.50 back in Swagbucks. Final cost for non-Plus of $12.50.

I just got a get $45 back Amex offer and went through Swagbucks, so should be a net ~$10 Plus membership if everything tracks correctly.
Made the purchase on 9/29 and it was posted on 10/04 but the transaction date is shown as 10/02. So it didn’t trigger the offer. I had to open a request to have Amex investigate it.
Data point: On 9/20/23, I successfully completed option 1. above with a $40 credit posting to AmEx on 9/22 and 5500 Swagbucks showing in my pending activity.
So $12.5 is the best deal you can get for sams club membership now?

So that will might work out to $11.25 for the regular or $18 for the Plus with the stacks
Any current tricks for getting Sam’s Club membership for free or money maker like in the past? I remember 1.5 years ago getting Sam’s Club membership and MM. But don’t see any tricks mentioned anywhere recently.

Instant tracking? I just purchased a Plus membership. After 5 min, still not tracked on Swagbucks.
Mine took about a day to track on SB side and then 3 days before AMEX credit posted.
Last time I tried an AmEx Sam’s offer it didn’t pay out automatically. I had to complain for about 7 months before they finally fixed it. Not doing that again

I would definitely of done this if I didn’t already do the $10 standard membership earlier in the year.
