The Fine Print
- Valid through October 15, 2018.
- Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels.
- Valid at participating locations in US and US territories only.

Our Verdict
This is a targeted offer, I see it on two of my business cards. $5 isn’t much, but a lot of people spend money at Starbucks anyway, making it an easy win. You can just reload your app $34 if that makes it easier for you.
Remember, Amex Offers are now limited to one per person going forward.

I will never ever set foot in a Starbucks ever. They don’t do squat for local communities (donate to causes, charities, sponsor anything, etc) compared to other businesses. Always choose the other coffee store in town..

Both our local Starbucks do a lot in our community. They collect and donate food for the local pantry and help with refreshments during fundraising. The corporation spends a bunch on several charities as well. If anything, they do more than say Dunkin’ Donuts.

I’ve had the offer show up on multiple cards last few times they had this, but no cards has it this time, not even my reliable OBC, BRG, and Platinum.
