The Offer
Direct Link (contains our affiliate link)
- Save 30% on a year’s Kindle Unlimited subscription – that’s $83.92 instead of $119.88 – when you use an Amex card along with promo code:Â AMEXSAVE
The standard price is $9.99/mo. which lands up at $119.88/yr. Utilizing this promo, you can prepay a full year’s subscription for just $83.92 ($7/mo.).
With a Kindle Unlimited subscription you have access to over one million titles in the Kindle Store, including books, audiobooks, and magazines. You can keep up to ten titles to read on any Amazon device or Kindle reading app and there are no due dates.
The Fine Print
- Offer expires October 15, 2017
- For existing monthly Kindle Unlimited subscribers who redeem this offer, automatic renewals will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the 12-month prepaid subscription purchased and will automatically restart at its conclusion, unless you disable auto-renew. You can do so at any time by canceling your subscription by visiting www.amazon.com/kucentral and adjusting your settings.
- Valid only on purchase of prepaid 12-month Amazon Kindle Unlimited subscription
- Available to U.S. residents only
- Limit 1 per person
- Customers who have purchased multiple prepaid plans that are currently associated with their Amazon accounts are not eligible
- Not valid for prior purchases
- Offer is non-transferable and may not be combined with other offers
- If a pre-paid subscription purchased via this offer is cancelled, a refund will not be issued
Our Verdict
Kindle Unlimited also offers a 30 day free trial. To fully maximize, you can signup now for the free trial (if you’ve never used it before), then cancel within 30 days, then signup again with this Amex promo to get the full year. You’ll end up with 13 months for just $84.
Remember, there are lots of ways to save on your Amazon purchases. Typically, you can also earn 3x Jetblue points on Amazon purchases, but the terms there exclude Kindle subscriptions from earning points so that won’t work here. We appreciate if you use our affiliate link, though I’m not sure if we earn anything from this or not.
Hat tip to reader 7
Also… I had this free for a year thanks to the centurion lounge in Vegas. It was incredibly disappointing. Better free stuff on Google Books. Hard to be disappointed in something free but this managed to do it. To each his own of course. I’m just saying.
Just a heads up, Amazon will have 33% off a 12-month plan or 40% off a 24-month plan from 10/23-25 as one of their 10th Anniversary deals. No Amex needed.
Good to know, Brad!
Hi brad, any source on this?
Did anyone try “gifting” the subscription from another AMZ account to your main AMZ account to see if you can get 2 years? From the setup it looks like that would work but not sure if I want to gamble $90 to find out.
I sent this offer and the Hilton AUs 40K offer to William this morning. And here it pops up by Chuck 😉
I wonder how it works. Who posts what. (Also i miss Sirtheta).
It’s way less of a science than most people think. Basically, whenever each of us is active online and on the site, we see things that need to be posted and do that. Usually, we aren’t even active at the same times during the day. We’ll pass things off from me to Will or vice versa if it’s something one of us usually writes about.
Will gets the emails that go to the Contact Us form, I only see the one’s that people CC me into ([email protected]).
I should see if I can set it up so we both get those e-mails!
Hopefully Sirtheta will be back posting more soon!
