The Fine Print
- Offer valid only on purchases made directly with U.S. Alaska Airlines locations, US website www.alaskaair.com or via the U.S. Alaska Airlines app.
- Flights must originate in the U.S., including U.S. territories and purchases must be in U.S. dollars to qualify.
- Offer valid only for purchases where Alaska Airlines is the merchant of record, such as airfare, fare upgrades, seat selection fees and baggage fees.
- Excludes in flight spend, flights booked via third parties and electronic gift cards.
- Excludes hotel, car services, packages and travel insurance purchased via Alaska Air website, insurance, Alaska trips, Company store, uniform purchases, Alaska Lounge membership, Alaska Lounge merchandise and day passes, purchase of points/miles, Alaska Airlines Freight and Alaska Lounges/Boardrooms at various locations.
Our Verdict
I believe this one is widely available, though a bunch of readers in the comments did not get this. Pretty nice deal for cash flights.

Anyone have DP on whether this will work with a gift card? What about spending $200+ on a fully refundable flight several months out?
The offer is back with expiration 1/31/2020. I got it on my Hilton Surpass and Amex Gold, and another Amex Platinum AU and Gold AU got it this time. Last time, I used it on one of my other Platinum AUs.

Will the Alaska gift card work on this offer?
Got it on my Gold and Everyday cards. I sometimes get it on one card with statement credit and another card with bonus points. This time, both are $40 statement credit. To answer Derek, I have Southwest as my selection on my Gold card.
Got it on my Platinum card. My airline setup is American Airlines though. Would love to know if GCs work.

Don’t think so I selected SW 2018 & 2019 on Per Gold – but also mainly book tickets on CSR (but did book an AS flight recently – possibly on an a different Amex card to meet MSR – but 1W from home hub).
