Update 11/5/19: More people have been targeted. Don’t forget to stack this with this deal.
The Offer
- Get a one-time $10 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $25 or more at BP or Amoco using the BPme mobile app by 12/31/2019.
The Fine Print
- Offer valid for automotive fuel purchases made in-app via the US BPme app at participating BP & Amoco US locations.
- Participating locations can be found by using the BP Station finder within the BPme app.
- In order to be eligible, you must first load your Card to the US BPme app using a compatible device.
- Qualifying spend must be met after any BP Rewards are applied to an in-app purchase.
- Excludes payments not made via the US BPme app, including online transactions, physical gift cards purchased in-store and online, physical location and customer service phone orders, convenience store purchases, car washes, garage/mechanic/repair services, restaurants at BP or Amoco stations, aviation and marine fuel, BP Motor Club, Aral and ampm purchases.
Our Verdict
$10 off $25 is a 40% discount which is terrific for gas (a lot of people value the point even higher than that), and the low $25 threshold also makes it feasible for those with small gas tanks. It does require downloading the app and adding your card(s) there. You can save on cash offer and one points offer to be able to take advantage twice.
When signing up for the BP Gas app you’ll also get 15 cents off your first fillup, so that should be an additional couple dollars of savings.

Wasted 20 minutes of my life trying to get this app to work. What a joke.
You’re a better person than me. I sat at the pump for about 5 minutes and the app wouldn’t sync up so i left.
I have 4 cards that have the offer. I was able to use the first two cards, but when I tried to add a third card to the mobile App, I received an error message “unfortunately we are unable to add this card to the bpme wallet”. I don’t know if it is just me or others have the same issue.
I used to offer twice and now I can’t add any other Amex cards to it. Anyone has the same issue?
The way the offer is run by bp is not ideal. The location services in the app is not recognizing its own station when I am at the pump. It says to go next building. Not worth it with a line of car behind. What is even worse is the store clerk says to deal with it.
Could someone help me with my question, please? I did receive the offer on my Delta Gold ($10 after $25) and my platinum (1000 MR after $25). Can I do that on both cards or need to choose just one? I am a bit confused. Chuck
Should be able to save both https://www.doctorofcredit.com/the-amex-offers-multi-tab-trick-is-dead/
Thank you Chuck I will try it today then!
Went to BP today with my wife’s car, empty but small tank. Finished to pump at $23.5 so I poured a $1.50 in the garbage ban…
Another 10 AU to go!
Buy premium gas next time.
I got this offer amex everyday card also my spouse’s card. Can I use both cards on single BPme account one after other?
This offer seems widely available. I even found it on Bluebird cards.
Mine disappeared the day I used it! No $10!
+1 for this, I just checked and was surprised to find it. Got it on my AMEX Everyday as well but Bluebird usually never gets the good offers.
Got a fraud alert from Amex for a $1.10 charge at BP after registering my card at the app. Anybody else?
Last year Amex did something like with Exxon/Mobil app and it was waste of time because the app didn’t work at 3 stations that were supposed to work and I had to call the customer support because my account for the Exxon/Mobile app got locked but it still didn’t work after it was unlocked. Looks like the BP app isn’t much better. Pass.
I love the Exxon/Mobil app. Works great at every station I’ve been to. Even better now with the 10% Amex offer going on.
I found a similar issue to how you described with Shell. I’ve never been able to use that app for the Chase Pay offer. It must depend on geographic areas.
