Update 11/16/23: Deal is back through 12/31/23. This time it’s slightly better: $75 off $125.
The Offer
- Get a one-time $50 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Business Card to make a single purchase of $120 or more on Verizon FiOS Business Internet online at verizon.com/amexoffer50 by 8/26/2023
The Fine Print
- Offer valid online only for Verizon Fios Business Internet transactions at US website verizon.com/amexoffer50.
- Please note if you purchase a subscription, unless you notify the merchant that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). This means that the merchant will collect the then-applicable subscription fee and any taxes by charging a credit card the merchant has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law. Offer is non-transferable.
- Valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
- Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member.
Our Verdict
Sometimes these verizon deals work on things not listed, feel free to share your datapoints in the comments below.
I paid Fios consumer account $125, did not receive Amex congrats email at all even 12 hours later….
hope credit will still go through, I have three more cards to use, if this works….
Did it end up working?
Had 75 off 125 at Verizon Business FIOS offer on 4 biz cards and used to pay consumer FIOS bill in MD and got credits for 3 charges, still waiting for 4th. Prepaid bill by a couple hundred
For those of you that got the credit, was your offer $75 off $125 or $75 off when opening a new account? $75 off a new account is my offer
prepaid consumer FIOS bill in MD with 131.99 charge, email arrived a few mins later.
prepaid FIOS bill in SE PA. Got the Amex email a few minutes later.
Same. Amex email 10-11 minutes later. Thanks for the DP!
And, four days later, the $75 credit. Not quite free money – have to forfeit the month’s $10 autopay discount – but darned close, with zero heavy lifting.
Rinse and repeat: A month later, another $75 back (P2’s card). Took a couple weeks for the credit to appear.
Used it to pay for Fios bill in Northern Virginia this morning and received Amex offer email a few minutes later.
Credit posted this morning.
+1, prepaid Fairfax, VA consumer Fios bill, got email 15 min later
Despite the conflicting DPs, I decided to give this a shot since the offer is expiring soon. I logged into my consumer FIOS account via chrome desktop browser and pushed a payment of $125 with my BBP. Received the Amex offer email five minutes later.
$50 Amex offer credit posted on 8/18
Went through Amex offer directly to Verizon and logged in to my wireless account . Paid $125, no credit or email received. Did this 10 day ago. Had to make a payment anyway so I thought it was worth a try as did have luck on a past offer trying it this way. Would not advise it. This was on my Hilton business.
On a side note, got this card through DOC link. Got my points and free night. Previously canceled card 14 months ago. Tried referral and through the Hilton site directly and got pop up. On my recent bill it actually showed my meal order at Joe’s Crab Shack. Office lunch, don’t judge. First time I have ever seen a restaurant order on an Amex card. I guess you better not buy gift cards there with an Amex.
The reason this works for some residential accounts and not others has to do with Verizon’s backend systems. Behind the scenes Verizon has a lot of different billing systems from all of the old phone companies that now make up Verizon. So the New Jersey system might not be able to differentiate business from residential plans, but the Pennsylvania system can (example only, it’s not actually broken up by state- different parts of a state can have different systems, and they do cross state lines).
The only correct answer on this one is give it a try and if you get the credit, free money for you.
On the similar Amex Verizon business offer 2 weeks ago, someone posted they paid their consumer Fios bill and the credit posted. Unfortunately, it seems that person was a troll as I paid my Fios consumer bill and the credit did NOT post.
It might depend on how you pay it and also if you have wireless. There are many ways to pay a Fios bill: online logged in, online as a one-time payment/guest, at a store kiosk, through the My Verizon app, through the My Fios app? etc.
Which method did you use that did not work? What did the charge post as name-wise?
So Amex can distinguish between business and residential plans? It is not surprising. Unless they know they can do it, why’d they offer such deal? Amex RAT is the strongest of all rats.
Actually, it did work. You ducking retard.
Rick You appear to have made misleading DP’s twice across separate Verizon Business posts:

You mislead me on that one so I’m just as skeptical of your more recent DP as Jason Smith .
There was nothing misleading about any of my posts. I paid my Verizon Fios bill of $131.99, posted on July 19 and no email and no credit (just checked this moment, 9 days later). You expect everyone to believe that it only worked for you and no one else?
.
Elliot, since you clearly have nothing to do and actually search through 2 years of DoC posts to find the SLIGHTEST thing wrong with me…I did the same thing…btw – that other data point also worked 🙂
Checkmate….
Can you please let us know how you paid it (online logged in, guest pay, in-store kiosk, etc.) and the name of the merchant on the charge? Thanks.
That RAT is Waaack
The first time they did this offer (few months ago) it did count for my personal already-existing Fios internet bill. I haven’t gotten this offer again unfortunately.
