[Expired] AmEx Offers: Get $10 With 3 Streaming Service Purchases

Deal has ended, view more streaming services by clicking here.

The Offer

Check your AmEx Offers for the following deal:

  • Get a one-time $10 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to make 3 separate purchases directly with select streaming services by 12/31/2024.
  • There are numerous other versions of Streaming Services offers available from Amex Offers as well.

See full list of of eligible streaming services at this Amex link.

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid on streaming service purchases made directly with select streaming merchants. Please reference americanexpress.com/us/amexofferstreaminglist for list of participating merchants.
  • Please note if you purchase a subscription, unless you notify the merchant that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). This means that the merchant will collect the then-applicable subscription fee and any taxes by charging a credit card the merchant has on record for you without notifying you, unless cancelled.
  • Purchases may not qualify if not billed directly by the merchant. For example, if you purchased your subscription through a third party device/digital platform, you may get billed by the party you signed up with, and not directly by the merchant. If your subscription is bundled with another product or service your purchase may not be eligible.

Our Verdict

Easy $10 win for a lot of people. This can potentially be stacked with the monthly credits on the Platinum card for Hulu, Disney, ESPN, or Peacock.

Netflix site is apparently smarter than me. I can’t figure out how to prepay my account. Any pointers?

This is not stacking with the Amex Disney+ (Entertainment) credit.

Google One counts as a streaming service?

For me, yes, the Google One 100 GB annual plan did count.

I know that because I finally exceeded $50 in cumulative Streaming spending, and see the $5 showing now under Amex Offers & Benefits –> Savings.

Additional DPs of other 6% streaming that counted towards the $50, despite not being on the “Select U.S. Streaming Subscriptions” list:

  • Discovery+ counted (subscribed via Google Play Store),
  • Either (or both) of these had to count, since I would not be at $50 without them:
  • Amazon digital movie purchase
  • Google Play Store in-app one-time purchase

Pandora One ($54.89 + taxes) via PayPal also counted as 6% on BCP and gave the $5 statement credit for >$50 in streaming.

Does it have to be 3 of the same streaming service or will 3 different ones work? For example if I get a hulu, peacock and sirius bill in a month will it count?

Got this on the Plat. The wording of the headline is a bit confusing. It sounds like you have to purchase 3 different streaming services whereas I believe it’s just one service three times.

I got a different (worse) version on my BCP:

Get a $5 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $50 in one or more purchases directly with select streaming services by 12/31/2024. Limit of 2 statement credits (total of $10).

Will be a great stack with the $25 off Max offer along with your choice of shopping portal (I like Rak..) Should come out to about $170-$25-$5-$12.5= $127.5 if timed right. Im still not sure if thats better than just going for a disney bundle with max and getting the $7 off with BCE plus whatever Rak takes off a month. Hard to know, I guess it depends how much also would use Hulu and Disney.
