Amex has NYC and the Theatre District in heart. Very generous of the $20! I can get a dish for free if I spend $100

Restaurants, where society has normalized spending an entire week’s grocery budget on a single meal. Pairs well with $10 per day Starbucks habit, $1200 iphone, and complaining about not having enough money to pay for rent/student loans.

Meanwhile, we bail out big corporations and banks with trillions of dollars of public funding. But of course why blame them when you can blame poor people for getting coffee. Open your mind and think big.

People typically don’t go to nice restaurants just for “a single meal.” They visit them to have an experience, dine in atmosphere, and to form memories. Dinner for two at Applebee’s costs almost $40, and you could easily eat there a number of times in a year and they will all blur together. But dinners in a nicer restaurant can form lasting impressions, to be looked back on with fondness for years to come.
