[Expired] AmEx Offers: Get 5% Back On Insurance Payment (Max $15 Statement Credit)

Deal has ended, view more insurance deals by clicking here.

The Offer

Check your AmEx Offers for the following deal:

  • Get 5% back as a statement credit by using your enrolled Card to make a payment on your insurance bill by 12/25/2021. Limit of $15 in total statement credits. See terms for exclusions.

The Fine Print

  • Government-backed insurance policies may be excluded.
  • Payments made to Insurance policies outside of the U.S. are excluded.

Our Verdict

Easy $15 savings on insurance which is a typically un-bonused category. Save this on the card that has the $500/$25 Amex offer or another spend offer to double dip.

I saved this offer and I still have it on my card. I used it already to pay my bill on Lemonade last month, got statemen credit. I thought this offer would disappear, but I still see it on my saved offer. Looks like I might be able to use again.

Is this on multiple transactions? Usually it will say this applies to multiple purchases but it’s unclear.

Making a payment to Progressive w/ Amex via PayPal posts as “PAYPAL *PROGRESSIVE” and triggers Amex insurance offer.

I can confirm this. I just paid my progressive bill via PayPal and I immediately got an AmEx saying I’ve used the offer. However, the charge on my Gold card makes no mention of PayPal; it looks it came from Progressive directly. It’s still pending though, so maybe that will change when it posts.

“Payments made to Insurance policies outside of the U.S. are excluded.”

LOL these people added in this clause this time, I argued with them last time until they paid out on a non-US policy. I kept telling them to show me where in their contract it says this and obviously they had nothing.
