Check your AmEx Offers for the following deal:

Get a $5 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to make a single purchase of $20 or more online at Grubhub.com or Seamless.com, or through the Grubhub or Seamless app by 8/15/2022. Limit of 2 statement credits (total of $10).

The Fine Print

Offer valid online only at US websites Grubhub.com or Seamless.com, or through the Grubhub or Seamless app.
Valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
Excludes corporate card transactions, purchases of electronic gift cards or physical gift cards bought online.
Qualifying charges must post to your account before the campaign end date in order to be considered eligible. If you are a new customer receiving a free trial, you may not be charged until the free trial period has lapsed.
Limit of 2 statement credits (total of $10 back) per Card Member. You may not receive the statement credit if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as qualifying for the offer. For example, you may not receive the statement credit if (a) the merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or (b) the merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers); or (c) you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet.

Nice offer. Save it on the Amex Gold card, if you see it there, since it also gets a $10 monthly dining credit.

I haven’t used it for a while with my amex gold and did see the offer.
I wanted to ask if anyone got 5$ + 10$ monthly credit after spending 20$?

In the Our Verdict section above, it says:

“Save it on the Amex Gold card, if you see it there, since it also gets the $10 monthly credit.”

Well, something that has been documented on discussion websites such as FlyerTalk is that Amex has for quite a while now had a habit of not offering Amex Offers for merchants for which you’ve used that card recently.

So it’s unlikely that anyone already using an Amex Gold card for that $10 monthly credit will see this offer, and the posts below seem to confirm that some people are getting it on other Amex cards but not on Amex Gold.

Right below that it has a section which says “if you have any other questions about American Express offers then read this post”, but the post which it links to is from 2016, and a lot of things may have changed since 2016 about how Amex does things, including presumably locking out people who’ve used that merchant recently on that card, and also in recently lengthening the amount of time it can take for all sorts of credits to post.

So I’m not sure how useful a post that says that it hasn’t been updated since 2016 is now almost 9 years later.

LoL got this offer on all my AU cards, on P2’s cards, but not on any of my own – especially not on my Gold card where I could use it.

I have this offer in my gold and I am absolutely sure I ADDED it to my gold,but when I checked back it disappeared?! Years ago this happened with Verizon offer, anyone in the same boat?
