The Offer

No direct link, check your Amex Offers to see if you were targeted

  • Get a one-time $15 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $100+ in one or more transactions online at HappyCards.com by 12/7/2019.
  • Other cards have the same offer, but for 1,500 Membership Rewards points instead.

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid online at HappyCards.com US website only.
  • Excludes authorized retailers, purchases shipped outside of the US, gift cards purchased in bulk and other Blackhawk Network brands.

Our Verdict

I found this one on some – but not all – of my cards. In the past, I believe they’ve offered $10 off $100, this time it’s $15 or 1,500 points, and is quite a nice deal since it works on any Happy card you’d like, even on the better Happy cards.

Does anyone know that whether happy card still could purchase third party gift cards at Lowe’s? I just saw that they added restriction on 3rd part gift card purchase.

Can someone explain to me how to purchase a Happy Card? I keep trying to use this deal but just get a message on their site that says “Sorry, no deals available”. Am I doing something wrong or are these gift cards only available during select times?

Same here. I bought Happy cards thru amex site with no problem but this time says “Sorry there are no deals found. Please try again later”
And there is a login link.
Do I have to create login account in order to purchase ‘happy card’ thru amex?

I chatted with Amex, looks like there is some bug. It shows the offer in my Delta card to me but the csr sees the offer only in my SPG. She is asking me to use SPG card, how can I use spg if I dont see it and cannot add it to redeem.

Something is wrong with the website. it should allow you to add a card to the cart and then check out. I was about to buy last week and it looks like the website is having issues.

Looks like the website is working again, but unfortunately, my Amex offer has disappeared.

Thanks datapoint! It’s impossible for us to credit everyone properly due to influx of information and channels, but we appreciate any tips people send in! You can email us at will@doctorofcredit and chuck@doctorofcredit to send stuff in, and then we see a lot in the comments too for people like leaving it there.

I bought Happy cards thru Amex earlier this year $15 off $100. You can also buy 2 different $50 Happy cards. I used it at Panera for $60 gift card for $50 deal. I swiped it myself.
It says on the card ‘ENTER PAYMENT AS CREDIT’

What is happy card? Where can it be used ? Any advantage over regular Visa card?

SMan

Actually Visa is better while using, it can be used anywhere where Visa is accepted. Happy Card can only be used at certain merchants. Like Happy Tean can only be used at “American Eagle, Sephora, Regal Cinemas, Jamba Juice, Under Armour, Dave & Buster’s” . There are lots of versions of Happy Cards.

While prepaid Visa card has some fee most of the time. Happy Cards don’t. Now Happy Cards are coming with an offer on AmEx.

I have only used Happy Cards for purchases at Panera.

If you have $7 balance and your purchase is $10, I had to specifically tell the Panera cashier to take $7 from the Happy card and pay the rest on another card. I don’t know if it is Panera’s fault or Happy Card’s fault.

It is a major hassle.

I have vowed not to use them.
