Our Verdict
Grocery store deals like these are as good as cash to some people. This is likely targeted to some of those in the ShopRite footprint. Save it on a card that earns a high rate at the grocery if that’s an option, e.g. Blue Cash Preferred or Everyday Preferred.

Got it on three of my cards. Used it to purchase 3 $50 Apple gift cards from 3 different shop rite accounts and got the Amex cashback along with 3 $10 vouchers for shopping this week which I used already.
How do they decide who gets 15 and 10??
have it in the marriott bonvoy card
Will this trigger if I buy through instacart?
Very unlikely.
I never seem to get the offers I actually would use….sigh….
There is also a BJs 35 off 55 offer now showing up on all cards I have. an excellent offer as you can split play buying GCs if nothing else.
HarryTheFirstHarry are you sure it’s not for membership only?
ah yes, you are right it does restrict to membership only in the terms though I wonder how they would be able to differentiate a charge made in the store if you buy a $55 GC. I might actually try this out and report back because the potential gain is bigger than the potential loss by several orders.
it’s worked for me before. They can not tell.
Do you need to be a Bjs member to buy gift cards?
Was hoping to buy Apple gift cards but looks like they are not available for sale on ShopRite’s website. Wondering whether ShopRite sells Apple gift cards in stores.
note for you, SR uses a 3rd party to sell gift cards ONLINE. So, Amex will not give you the discount as it goes thru another outfit, not SR.
My hudband has the Amex Gold and I use it through Google Pay. The T&C indicate that payments made through other vendors won’t qualify. I guess I need to take my husband’s physical card with me to do the grocery shopping this weekend. Any one know if THE digital wallets actually work?
It should work as digital wallets use the payment method selected to charge your purchases, i.e., your Amex card would show a charge to ShopRite, not to a third party. Other vendors would be something like Instacart.
