Shame it doesn’t work on saver class unfortunately. We see these types of sales from Amtrak somewhat frequently.

Can you explain how we do this deal? I clicked the link and put in my cities, went to the end and no place to put a promo code? And how do we find “save fares.” I’m not a regular Amtrak rider.
If you’re booking on the website, you just need to use the link above. You don’t need to put the promo code and the prices will reflect the offer. I just booked 2 saver Acela Business Class tickets from NY to DC for $80.

ETA: I tried to create the same trip by going direct to the Amtrak site and the trip was CHEAPER than going through the link. What’s up with that?
Saver fares seem to be eligible on all trains except for Acela and the trains where no fares are eligible. Booked saver tickets on the Lincoln Service and Empire Builder and both were eligible for the discount even paired with the saver fare.
