  • Must purchase tickets by May 13th, 2019
  • Travel from June 1st until September 30th, 2019

The Fine Print

• Valid for one free companion rail fare with the purchase of one regular (full) adult rail fare.
• Valid for sale May 9 – 13, 2019
• Valid for travel June 1 – September 30, 2019
• Seating is limited, seats may not be available on all days.
• Valid for travel on all reserved service, no upgrades are permitted.
• Not valid on unreserved service which includes the Capitol Corridor, Pacific Surfliner, Hiawatha, Unreserved sections of the Pennsylvanian and Keystone Service and 7000-8999 Thruways.
• The companion and full fare paying passenger must travel together on the same itinerary and have tickets issued together.
• Not combinable with any other discount offer.
• In addition to the discount restrictions, this offer is also subject to any restrictions, blackouts and refund rules that apply to the type of fare purchased.  A 25 percent cancellation fee may apply.
• Once travel has begun, no changes to the itinerary are permitted.

Our Verdict

The BOGO sale doesn’t work on saver fares, so might make sense to wait for a flat 30% off sale instead. Obviously you don’t need two people to travel when doing that deal either. Great discount here if you need two tickets and aren’t purchasing saver tickets. This sale doesn’t work on award fares either.
