Our Verdict
Apple products are difficult to find discounted, though sometimes you’ll see it on Amazon and the like for a bit cheaper. Now that iTunes gift cards work for Apple products, and yet – surprisingly to me – they continue to offer some discounts/deals on gift cards, it could make sense to stock up on gift cards on the deals and then use them all eventually to buy whichever product you want. So it’s nice to be able to stack the discounted gift card deals along with this annual holiday deal which offers bonus gift cards with select product purchases.

I got denied the $50 for purchase of an iPhone bc I ordered one with a SIM card. The offer was only for unlocked phones. O well. I didn’t even need the SIM card, so that wasn’t too smart by me.
Pretty ironic how Apple massively devalued its GCs by offering discounts galore, yet they also prohibited reselling those GCs. Wonder how significant the short-term revenue bump will be because of this policy.

There is a good profit margin to selling third party gift cards. Even if the margin is slimmer with this, they are still making bank.

I just placed an order using this offer. How soon will I get Apple gift card? Should I see it in my account after my order was placed?
I placed an order at 12 am PST. It’s been almost 8 hours and I haven’t received the gift card. There is some language in the ordering process saying that the GC will be sent out when the item is shipped or picked up.
I planned to do two transactions and use GC from the first transaction for the second one but it seems that won’t be doable.

Just spoke with support and they said that promotion was not added to my account during purchase even though I followed the link. So the representative added that promotion to my account a d told me that I will receive my card in 7-10 business days
Apple made fools of us or at least me in ad it was clear that we’ll get $100 Apple gift card with Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD, HomePod. in reality only HomePod was $100 rest only $50. I guess “UP TO” was very silent in ad 🙂

Forgive me if I missed the obvious but if I have $1000 in cart and it qualifies for a $150 gift card, do I pay $1000 and get a $150 gift card for future use or can the card be used to net the purchase price to $850?
I called Apple to clarify this offer and they said the gift card for this offer will be applied to future purchases. Give card offers are also available for select products purchased using a military/veterans discount program. I was interested in an iMac but the bonus gift card was only for the base model.

This one seems the most interesting, since all of these items are $300 or less. Assuming the $100 is just for $299 Homepod, that’s a cheaper price than they seem to be selling secondhand.
But the HomePod has also gone on sale for $199 many times.

Wrong. I have 6 weeks to try it out due to BB extended return window. I also used Visa card for partial payment that offers protection. Nice try though, happy holidays!
