Our Verdict
Some people like buying directly from Apple due to their free engraving, return policy, to use up Apple gift cards, etc. It’s often cheaper to buy Apple products on Amazon (affiliate link) or Walmart, so keep that in mind.
Also note, the gift card offer does not stack with the Apple Education pricing.
The holiday Apple gift card deal shines especially for iPhone purchases since those are not discounted with Apple Education, nor with the annual Apple back-to-school event. Also – unlike iPads, Macs, and accessories – new iPhones aren’t available much elsewhere outside of Apple.com and the phone carriers.
