Our Verdict
This is a nice double stack with the built-in student discount from the Apple EDU store, combined with the gift card deal. A third stack would be if you pay with Apple gift cards purchased with some sort of discount or fuel points.
This deal is not just for student accounts — it also works for educators and parents of students (if buying for the student).
Be sure to compare prices to Amazon (affiliate link) and other retailers since buying direct from Apple is usually more expensive. That said, with the double stack you’ll most likely come out ahead purchasing direct.
Is it possible to buy and return the item whilst keeping the gift card?
Apple has no required verification system for students. Just simply shop at the education store for discounted prices. I saved $100 on my m4 iPad Pro using this discount.

ok and? lots of people been waiting for this to buy. And students can have things to do during summer too?
In many places it has. Not to mention some states have tax free back to school that stacks with this. Florida has back to school up to $1500.00 on these items.
