Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
Simply checking has no monthly fees to worry about.
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find any mention of one in the fee schedule.
Our Verdict
Not nearly as good as the $900 bonus that was previously offered unfortunately.

Can any one PM me a referral for this?
Can’t send PMs here but if you click on my name I just added my Simmons ReferNow link.
Tread lightly with Simmons. In November, I and P2 opened individual accounts easily, deposited Treasury Direct funds ($7500 each) which showed available, and 2 days later, attempted to transfer most of the funds to our Vanguard brokerage accounts. Simmons then withdrew the transfers from Vanguard and put both of our accounts unaccessible with suspicion of fraud. To date, we are still waiting for reimbursement with fraud department excuses they have messaged Treasury Direct to determine if our deposits are legitimate and have not received confirmations.
I would’ve raised hell by now
They can’t just hold funds like that. Threaten to file with the CFPB (while you still can)
Three months? That’s insane. Did you file a complaint with anyone? I don’t know the details of the xfer. For instance, you could have been trying to deposit your TD DD into P2’s acct, which caused them to be suspicious. Either way, this seems like it could have been resolved in a day. They could have asked you for proof of the xfer. This is nuts.
I suggest filing a complaint with the CFPB, BBB, & your state’s attorney general to start…Actually, I would follow up with them and let them know that you’re going to file a complaint with the CFPB. It will be interesting to see how they respond if they think that the CFPB can do nothing. After they do nothing, I’d follow up with them and threaten to file with the OCC. If it’s still not resolved, file with the OCC. I personally have only used them with a fintech, but they’re just as powerful as the CFPB. https://helpwithmybank.gov/Obviously I’ve been too lenient with them. Periodic conversations resulted in “we’re still waiting for TD’s response to our inquiry.” Last week, was told cashier’s checks are on the way back to us so perhaps this story is over. Incidentally, P2’s TD transfer was from her own account, not mine, so that was not the problem there.
Do we know if there were any OOS DPs from last round? Seems like people were wondering but couldn’t find actual DPs. The wording is certainly ambiguous
Referral stack?
This offer cannot be used in combination with any other promotion (the Refer-A-Friend Program is excluded from this limitation). Simmons Bank reserves the right to limit an Eligible Customer to $600 in Bonuses per rolling twelve (12) month period across all deposit relationships.
The referral program is through ReferLive, so referral stack should work:

i see $200+$150+$50 bonus, where is the $600?
It is $200/month x 3 months = $600
p2 will have to wait until they bring back a bonus without the high hold requirements

Worked for Coca-Cola.
