They paid me an extra $300. Ended up with $1200

12/31 – opened new account in TX with $50 deposit
1/7 – transferred $5k from external acct (not as DD but just to satisfy $5000 minimum average balance requirement for promo)
1/17 – statement closes
1/30 – $3000 real DD
2/4 – $100 relationship bonus credited

I was expecting a $200 bonus, but they are saying since my ADB was <$5000 I only qualify for the $100. It seems I’m being penalized for the one week it took me to transfer funds in after account opening. But also their terms state they will credit 3 bonuses for the first 4 statement cycles. I would rather them give me nothing for this first one but then give $200 for each of the next 3, for a total of $600. It seems the best I can do now is $600. Anyone else run into this problem?

Are you within their footprint, how far are you from a branch?

I’m in their footprint. You thinking going in person is best bet? Do I wait for next 2 months to post or go now?

Will be doing Fidelity CMA and WF transfer this month. Since its known Fidelity works if I don’t get it I guess I will do my first CFPB, any tips for that? Thank you

others can feel free to correct me but I’m pretty sure this isnt recommended. you didnt do real DD, you wont have a leg to stand on when CFPB investigates with the bank.

Applied from TX, denied. Only US citizens can apply

What date did this officially expire? Having trouble with P2’s account. Stupid agents keep saying that you had to “enter” the promo code, which we know is false. Trying to figure out if she applied too late.

12/31/24, it was in the fine print on the offer page, hopefully you took screenshots?

They figured it out. Apparently if someone applied after a certain date the promo didn’t apply correctly so they have to manually do it. We got it sorted.

Anyone that opened out of footprint in TX (not the cities listed) get the bonus? Or any other state in general?

I hope to have an answer on this soon. I opened online with “CTN” promo in AR but not close to a listed branch. I confirmed the promo code was attached after opening. I had legit direct deposits but no bonus yet, so I’m waiting to hear back from them on a resolution.

TreasuryDirect redemption did not work for me, or the promo code is not attached to my account despite asking and having it confirmed in chat the day I opened. There is no bonus tab online or notice on my statement about meeting/not meeting bonus requirements, as others here have mentioned.
