Our Verdict
They have had a similar sale in the past as well. You can currently purchase Avianca miles for 1.29¢ each. Avianca has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy. If Avianca completely fails then it’s unlikely these bookings will be honored as the partner airline only gets paid when you actually complete the flight, not on booking. I don’t think purchasing miles for this deal makes sense, but if you have some you need to use up anyway then it can be useful.

🙁 – would have been perfect for me, since I just recently got a refund for a cancelled flight and was planing to re-book for a later date in the following days anyway.
Just made a domestic flight redemption to fly on United and Avianca charged me $10 redemption fee per ticket instead of $25.
might be discount rate, however, currently most airline won’t release possible biz ticket in international route due to very limited flights….
They. Are. BANKRUPT.
