  • Avianca LifeMiles Vuela Visa credit card: 60,000 miles after one purchase
  • Avianca LifeMiles Vida Visa credit card: 40,000 miles after one purchase

Avianca Vida Visa

• Annual fee of $59 is not waived first year
• Card earns at the following rates:

• Annual fee of $149 is not waived first year

  • 2x LifeMiles per $1 spent on gas stations and grocery stores
  • 1x LifeMiles per $1 spent on all other purchases
• Free additional piece of baggage for travel between the United States & Central America
• A 50% discount on an award ticket redeemed for travel to Central America or Colombia from the United States after $12,000 spent each year
• An additional 50% discount on an award ticket redeemed for travel to Central America or Colombia from the United States after $12,000 spent each year
• 15% discount on purchases of miles with Multiply Your Miles

Our Verdict

Some things to note:

• I have no idea if this card is churnable or not. If anybody knows, please share in the comments. Please don’t just ask if it’s churnable, people will comment if they know. Update: Looks like it isn’t.
• If you’re not approved, Banco Popular does have a reconsideration number you can now (844-343-1010). Tips for reconsideration calls can be found here.
• There is a report of getting the AF waived second year onwards as a retention offer.
• Last time this was offered they sometimes asked for documents (e.g tax documents) before granting approval

The nice thing about these offers is that there is no minimum spend requirement. It’s also nice that it isn’t issued by one of the major card issuers. I will be adding this bonus to our best credit card bonuses. Avianca has short haul domestic flights starting at 7,500 miles. You can view the full award chart by clicking here.
