• First National Bank of Texas is offering a $250 bonus when you open a new Service 1 or Service 1 High Yield account and complete the following requirements:
  • Receive a Direct Deposit of at least $600 to your new Service 1 or Service 1 High Yield account within 45 calendar days of account opening. This must be a single ACH transaction and cannot be combined with other deposits and receive a $50 bonus
  • Receive another Direct Deposit of $600 within the 33 days leading up to your account’s six-month milestone, and we’ll credit another $50 into your account
  • Receive another Direct Deposit of $600 within the 33 days leading up to your account’s twelve-month milestone, and we’ll credit a final credit of $150 into your account

The Fine Print

• The amount of the Bonus up to $250 will be reported to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
• Customers without a Social Security Number or Taxpayer Identification Number are not eligible to receive the Bonus.
• Bonus Limitations: One (1) per Social Security Number or Taxpayer Identification Number; One (1) per Service 1 or Service 1 High Yield Account; new customer checking account relationships only.
• Existing customers with a checking account relationship are ineligible to receive the bonus if their new checking account relationship has been opened for more than 34 calendar days.
• Cannot be combined with any other offer. Bonus offer can be modified or withdrawn at any time without notice.
• All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Our Verdict

Annoying that you need to keep the account open for so long and keep direct deposits coming as well. Still probably worth doing if it’s a soft pull, if anybody goes for it share your experiences in the comments below.
