Bank of America Increases Sign Up Bonus To $200/$250 On Two Business Credit Cards

These bonuses are now across four different Bank of America cards and there are direct links available.

Bank of America has increased the sign up bonus to $200 on two of their business credit cards, I haven’t been able to find a none affiliate link for either of these offers unfortunately. Let’s take a look at both offers.

WorldPoints Travel Rewards for Business Visa credit card

  • Receive 5,000 bonus points upon first use
  • Receive a $200 statement credit when you spend $500 or more within 60 days of account opening
  • Card earns at the following rates:
    • 3x points per $1 spent on purchases booked through Bank of America Travel Center, excluding insurance purchases (these earn 1.5x points)
    • 1.5 points per $1 spent on all other purchases
  • No annual fee or international transaction fees
  • Introductory APR of 0% on purchases for first 9 billing cycles

bank-of-america-worldpoints

The sign up bonus on this card is usually $100 (and the 5,000 points bonus after first use). Points are worth 1¢ each when redeeming for statement credit and up to 1.76¢ when redeeming for airfare, unfortunately this higher rate on airfare is being eliminated this November.

Cash Rewards for Business MasterCard credit card

Direct link to offer

  • $200 statement credit when you spend $500 or more within 60 days of account opening
  • No annual fee
  • Card earns at the following rates:
    • 3% back on gas stations and office supply stores (up to $250,000 annually)
    • 2% back at restaurants
    • 1% back on all other purchases

bank-of-america-worldpoints

Obviously not as good as the above deal unless you value the cash back categories (and I don’t think you should as it’s possible to earn better on gas stations, office supply stores & restaurants with other cards).

How To Get These Offers

As I’ve said, I don’t know of any direct links to these offers. Third party sites such as creditcards.com & cardbenefits.com have links to these offers and most bloggers with that use credit card affiliate links will have a link to creditcards.com on their site (it’s usually a banner). If you click ‘card type’ and then ‘business credit cards’ both offers should show up. Remember to support bloggers that provide useful information to you. We don’t use these links, you can read our reasons why here. There might also be direct affiliate links available.

Our Verdict

Bank of America credit cards are interesting because you can get multiples and the inquiries combine (keep in mind that usually personal & business inquiries won’t combine). These are also one of the better cash sign up bonuses. The personal $200 offer on their cash rewards cards are always popular because of this. Bear in mind that if you have a BofA checking account, the signup bonus is actually $220 (or $275) since you get a 10% relationship bonus. This isn’t the case with these offers as they are for statement credit and not cash back.

Update 12/28 – I inquired a.few weeks ago and a rep said he didn’t know anything about a statement credit but that I should get 10k points for opening the card with a business account, and filed a note. Those posted a couple days later. However, out of nowhere the $200 statement credit just posted! Made out like a bandit on this, thanks DoC.

Update 12/27/2016: Eventually the $200 statement credit showed up on both the Travel Rewards and the Cash Rewards. Thanks DoC!

I’m having the same issue getting the statement credit on the World Travel card. The customer service for BoA is absolutely horrid — they somehow have no secure message system that you can send with, their chat seems to never be working, and it is seemingly impossible to call them, even in the middle of a weekday, because they are perpetually abnormally busy but with no prediction for wait times.

Question for others: I signed up for the World Travel card at the same time as making a business account and I’m worried, after rereading these posts, that the offer at that time did not have the $200 statement credit language. Did anyone go through the same process here, and if so did you happen to screenshot the offer page?

Hi Joseph,
I signed up on the same day for both cards: the World Travel Rewards for Business and the Cash Rewards for Business. I do have screenshots for both signup offers. Each offer is for “a $200 statement credit after at least $500 in purchases in the first 60 days of account opening”. I haven’t received any bonus yet.

I’m also wondering when the statement credit will be posted. Met the spending requirements on 10/25, statement closed on 11/5 and no trace of the credit yet.

Same here. Called in and they said I should wait 60 days after account opening to get the statement credit.

This is a direct link to the cashback card I found by googling “bank of america small business credit card” I found the link directly into the BOA website and then clicked through the offer. I am pretty positive this is not an affiliate link. $200 statement credit is showing on it:

https://www.bankofamerica.com/smallbusiness/credit-cards/products/cash-rewards-business-credit-card/

This page was linked on reddit and is different from your links. It has 4 different cards with the $200 statement credit:

Here’s the list of all BOA small business cards. It has the cashback and travel rewards cards with $200 statement credit. Found by googling the same as my previous post and then clicking show all cards. I was using an incognito windows, so pretty sure this is not an affiliate link.

Applied for both on the same day, got a call 5 days later to verify what type of business I had, and was recommended for approval. Got another call about 8 days after application for the second one, this one grilled me more and went over the entire application, ended up being approved as well. Cards arrive in 7-10 business days

Applied and instantly approved for WorldPoints card. Pulled from Equifax, as per credit karma notice. 3k limit.

Applied for business credit card in branch on Monday. I had my Experian frozen so they pulled Trans Union. I’m in NY.

By the way, it looks a denial to me as the banker said I can only be approved for the secured business credit card and needed $1500 as deposit. So they even have something called secured business credit cards? I cannot find it on the website?

You get a 10% bonus on the cashback bonus from BOA if you have a checking or savings account. The savings account requires a $300 minimum balance, as opposed to the checking account which I’m not sure exactly how to avoid fee, but it’s probably DD or $1500 min balance.

My spouse and I have a joint BOA savings to trigger the 10% bonus and to receive the cashback and bonus cashback. You can even pay your BOA card with the savings account. You can’t use Pay Bill on the CC menu, or Billpay, but you can transfer the money from savings to the card. You can do a transfer “now,” schedule a future transfer, or recurring transfer.
