Our Verdict
Not as good as the 70k + $100 offer, I tried to do a dummy booking but didn’t see 70k + $100 unfortunately. I’d wait a bit to see if that starts to appear, but 70k might be enough for some people to apply.
Received a mail offer for 70k miles + Companion Fare + 50% off next flight(Book before Dec 31 2024 for travel Jan 06 2025 – Mar 07 2025. Blackout days exist) after spending 3k in 90 days.
This seems to be dead now. I get a 404 when I click the offer link.
I recently applied for this card and spent over 3000+ to be eligible. When can I expect the bonus miles in my plan?

I got approved for this card last week. Then I realized the last time I had the card was 3/2022 but didn’t close it until Jan 2023. Just wonder if I will get the SUB.
So then did you end up getting the SUB?

The latest offer wordings kinda seems sus – “Get 70,000 bonus miles plus Alaska’s Famous Companion Fare™ ($99 fare plus taxes and fees from $23) with this offer. To qualify, make $3,000 or more in purchases within the first 90 days of opening your account.”
Is the companion fare part of the welcome bonus? This seems to be my understanding.
Or is it only provided on card anniversary + spending $6000 on the card?
Maybe someone else will chime in but my understanding is that the companion fare is awarded on the account anniversary, not the initial card opening. It’s wack that you have to pay the $95 annual fee AND spend $6k all for a $99 companion flight. I opened for the SUB but will not be keeping this card at the one year mark. The value just isn’t there.
I opened the card on 06/29/23.
Got the first Companion Fare after 3K spending, it is expired on 09/10/24.
To get a new yearly Companion Fare, $6K should be spent prior the anniversary date, 06/29/24.
Seeing 60k + $100 with a dummy booking today
Successfully product changed it today to the no-fee Customized Cash Rewards credit card just 4 days before the annual fee was due.
Was just approved for 75k offer 5.5k limit. I’m at 6/24 with 2 Chase cards most recently in September. Overall credit age is only 1.5y
Started relationship w BoA on Feb 3, had my DD going there and holding 2k-6k in funds (started with 2k and then had DDs)
Can people downgrade this card to no-annual fee cards? I read online that some people can do it, but when I called I was told I cannot.
