Our Verdict
Bank of America offers this bonus on a regular basis, I’m not a huge fan of it due to the high spend requirement and the fact that I don’t really value Virgin Atlantic miles. I think the bonus is even less attractive now that Bank of America has introduced a new application rule. Before applying I’d recommend reading these things everybody should know about Bank of America credit cards.

Dead?
I wish there were some recent DPs from approved individuals. I'm at 15/24, and 3/24 with BoA. Wondering if I should wait until the summer to try and get this one, or if I should skip altogether due to BoA becoming more strict with velocity.
Just applied and got approved with 8k credit limit. I'm 9/24 and 2/24 with Alaska but closed another 3 BOA cards within the last 15 months. I just had 6 cards drop off my 24 months limit within the past 2 weeks so I feel it was a good time.
If I spend $25,000 on this card, won't I average 5 points/1 dollar? Seems like a pretty good deal to me or is my math off?
That $12K spend would be a bit of a burden organically. Any DPs on how tolerant BofA is of making regular trips to spend money at the local malls?
And what's the latest on the rumored plans they had for Mergin' All The Virgins?
I don't see the new application rule language in the terms and conditions - am I missing something? I just used 100k of these miles to book two seats to Paris on Delta One, and I'd like to top up my account, but I already have a VA card.
It does not appear that this card is subject to the recently announced limitations but it is still subject to the 2/3/4 rule. I'm glad to see this card being more relaxed since it's my favorite BofA churning card.
Got declined because i already had the maximum number of cards with them and affiliates. I have 4 all personal cards, I had 3 of them for years the fourth i got 6 months ago. I used to have 5 but consolidated one of them. Not sure if this is a new restriction. Its not amount of credit, because they would always let me move credit lines around if they didnt want to extend more credit
when does this offer expire, if unknown then on avg when does bofa pull offers like these and make it go back to the original standard offer of 25,000 or so
No expiry listed, usually around for a month or two but frequently comes back.
this offer is around all the time. no different than the Citi AA plats. if u dont get it this time, it will be back ASAP. no reason to FOMO.
is virgin atlantic as strict as alaska? like getting the bofa Alaska annual fee waived can get you into trouble with alaska as they can take away your points and even cancel your itinerary. was wodnerign if it would be possible to get the annual fee waived on thsi one
Can you MS the MSR? They MS friendly?
yes, MS friendly
Yes, I used Venmo for my BoA AS churn.
