Our Verdict

Previous deal was 60,000 miles but with the annual fee waived for the first year. 70,000 offer is better as long as you value points at 1¢ or more. Some redemption options:

You can get flights for 35,000 miles round trip with the card from mainland USA to Hawaii, but there isn’t a lot of space available.
Intra island flights are 7,500 miles one way
~~They also sell sunglasses (I forget the brand and amount, but seems to be a popular redemption)~~

One of the worst miles out there, if your aren’t flying to Hawaii stay far away from these miles.
No one wants them you can’t sell them or do anything with them.

Applied and got a letter to send my Social Security card in the mail. Talked to a manager, and there is no way around this. Said it’s for the security so they can validate the identify. The irony, they could not answer how the secure the social security card after the receive it. Anyone else?

they got rid of that several months ago. I asked the Hawaii agent via email back in Oct 2020 and they replied back saying :
“Kindly be advised that the redemption with our non flight partners including the transfer of miles to Hilton Honors Points has been temporarily suspended aside from Budget Rent a Car and Avis Rent a Car.
Once it resumes, we will update our website about it. You may periodically visit this link to view what non flight partners you can redeem you miles with: https://www.hawaiianairlines.com/hawaiianmiles2/redeem/non-flight-partners.”
