Our Verdict

Previous best offer on this card was 60,000 miles after one purchase. Previously Barclays requested business documents, but that no longer seems to be the case. Worth remembering that Barclays business cards do not report to your personal report, so won’t count towards your 5/24 status. Barclays has other increased bonuses on business cards as well:

Hawaiian recently made a no notice devaluation, so that’s something to keep in mind. There was also recently a 75,000 point offer on the personal version of this card. All that being said this offer can still be useful for some readers that value Hawaii miles so we will be adding this to our list of the best credit card bonuses. As always if you have questions regarding Barclays credit cards, read this post first.

You can no longer transfer Hawaiian miles to Hilton. For this reason I think this should be removed from the list of best credit card bonuses.

6/24 might be a soft rule but I have not seen any reports for any Barclays card of people getting approved at lol/24. So maybe 7/24 or 8/24 is ok, but otherwise it’s a lost cause. (And I am guessing there’s some miscounting by people who think they are at 7/24 or 8/24, such as including business cards in the count, so that they are actually at or below 6/24).

Speaking from personal experience, I have been denied for three Barclay cards in the past six months and each time it was because of too many recently opened accounts.

Signed up for this card 10 months ago. How long do you have to wait inbetween signups? Or is their lifetime language?

there’s language on the aviator cards that are in the fine print about a bonus every 24 months. you may have to check in regards to this one…

Seems to be a pretty hard and fast rule now, but some are able to get around it. Unknown as to why.
