Barclays & Breeze Airways have entered into a long term agreement to issue a co-branded credit card together. The card will launch in early 2024 and run on the Visa payment network. The card will also launch alongside Breeze Airways first loyalty program.

The issue with Breeze is they introduce/cancel routes too quickly. You would be lucky to redeem any earned points with them.
Breeze (like Frontier and Spirit) add a fee (“Technology Development Charge) if you do not buy the tickets in-person. However, you can only buy them in-person for a few hours on Tuesdays IIRC. Just a way for them to avoid taxes like the others.
Man, I used to live in an Allegiant hub, pretty close to the airport. They had (probably still have) the same deal going. It could save $20-$30 bucks per ticket by buying at the airport. As you said, I had to hit a narrow window of time in order to do it (despite it being one of their main operational bases). Brings back fond memories of hustling back to the parking garage, trying to get out before my 30 minute free grace period expired…ah, the good ol’ days…
Breeze actually looks like an interesting option if the available destinations work for you. Booking (as of today) seems to only be possible through about 3 months into the future. They charge about the same for carry-on bag or checked bag ($37/$39), apparently. Site claims their seats are wider and more comfortable, and flights are origin-to-destination, bypassing usual hubs.
Most routes are not daily, closer to 2-3/week. If your flight gets cancelled, you’re screwed
It’ll be out of the market in less than 2 years. Barclays being Barclays
Locked out of it because of 6/24 anyway. 😔
That rule recently cost me and P2 quite a whack of Hawaiian Air miles.
Remember what Barclays did to us with the Uber card. Never again
Shame! Shame!
The old Uber card was predictable to be replaced… as it was to good of a foodie card and not targeted towards the brand Uber.
Typically it’s not the issuer who changes the rewards structure, it’s the brand on the card
Never heard of breeze airways before.
apparently another budget airlines
It’s founded by the same guy who founded Jetblue. I’d love to fly with them one day.
I’ve flown with them before and thoroughly enjoyed it. My “nicer” fare, which was still cheaper than a Delta or American basic economy fare, got me a free checked bag and a seat with enough legroom to allow me to fully extend my legs and still have a good six inches until the seat in front of me. Hopefully they’ll expand their routes so that I can fly with them more frequently.
Doesn’t matter. It will be gone like the wind before long anyway.
Thank you, thank you. I’m here all week. Try the special. 🙂
