Our Verdict
When these cards launched the bonuses were 30,000 and 50,000 miles respectively so this is a nice increase for the Silver card. Might be worth considering that card now if you have a use for Emirates miles. We will add that card to the best credit card bonus page. As always before applying for any Barclays card, make sure to read these things everybody should know about Barclays.

no, it’s no longer valid. showing just 30k/40k miles now..
Emirates Skywards Rewards World Elite Mastercard pretty lackluster
I have 2000 points expiring that I got for free to sign up for their FF account . Anyone know how to save them without paying anything?
I recently looked into an Emirates flight. One way from MIA to DXB in economy was 60K points plus $300. Cash rate was $550. I booked the cash rate. Not sure if there are better deals to make it worthwhile using points?
i don’t think so. i always prioritized cash back SUB but given that I did almost all of them I started looking exclusively into Airline Miles SUBs.
Emirates had the worst value when one would like to redeem the miles. So horrible to the point of even the $99 fee credit card choice not being worth it.
Emirates charges $1100-1400 for taxes when redeeming Emirates award flights to Dubai in Business/FC? Isn’t that insanely high? One could get a standard ticket in that price. ANY way to avoid such high taxes?
only time it would be good is the freedom flight from NYC
Do these cards really take 2-8 weeks after approval to reflect the status upgrade to silver on your account?
500 a year for a card that is pretty useless. This has got to be one of the most ludicrous cards in existence.
Are these cards metal?
Are these miles worth anything?
no.
LOL
Do they finally allow mixed cabin awards on one ticket?
