Our Verdict

Sadly not as good as the 100k point bonus we once saw, but better than the 60k points or 75k points we sometimes see. Up to you if you want to wait to see if the 100k point bonus returns.  JetBlue award flight prices are linked to the cash price of a ticket, much like Southwest. I had this card a few years ago and closed it. Would I be eligible for the 80k bonus?

$800 is a reasonable ballpark estimate

JetBlue miles are *mostly* constant-value around 1.3 cents each. Kind of like SW miles. Though there are some exceptions, like for JetBlue Mint they are worth less, more like 1-1.1 cents each.

This is MUCH better than the 100k offer given this requires $1k in spend and the 100k required $6k in spend.

If you want to fly Mint though, the points are worth only 1.0-1.1 cents, and this bonus won’t cover a whole coast to coast flight. (In coach, you can get several flights for 80k).

Only flied Jetblue once (round trip NYC to Orlando). Outbound flight was delayed by over 3 hrs, and inbound flight on Friday was cancelled. Had to run to the airport, and the only option was a Sunday evening flight which later was delayed by 3 hrs…Jetblue refused to provide accommodation; was told that the reason why flight was cancelled was the thunderstorm 14 hrs ago; not sure if that makes sense.
