Our Verdict
Previous best was 80,000 points. This is an extra 20,000, surprised to see such a big jump. If you have a use of Lufthansa miles then this is definitely worth considering if not applying for, although I’d want to make sure I could use them ASAP to avoid any devaluation. We will add this to our list of the best credit cad bonuses. If you’re going to apply for this card then I’d also recommend reading our post on things you should know about Barclays before applying.
Hat tip to Philip
this is back up to 80k
Has anyone been able to product-change this card to any of Barclays’ no-fee cards?
I had to cancel my card after a year. Called Barclays several times. No downgrade/ product change options were offered. They won’t remove the annual fee either. The best I could get from them is zero APR for one year (I am not interested, sorry). No Lufthansa lounges in California either.
It’s back up to 60k miles, from 50k last week. For me this is worth $1000 for a route a fly near monthly.
I’ve just received my 80k bonus and was able to check the award flights. So here’s a list of non-stop roundtrip award flights from LAX in Economy:
Boston 30,000 +$11.20
DC 30,000+$11.20
Tokyo 80,000+$438.10
Munich 75,000+$126.20
Zurich 75,000+$66.80
Honolulu, HI 40,000+$11.20
Chicago 30,000+$11.20
London 60,000 +$632.00
Copenhagen 60,000+$55.40
Frankfurt 75,000+$140.80
Seoul 80,000+$598.80
The system is very reluctant in showing you Turkish Airlines’ and Avianca’s direct flights, and the partner airlines’ international flights (meaning United’s) come with massive fees
Looks like it’s down to 50,000 award miles now.
How many miles do I need to book a 1 way FRA to US in F to visit the aspirational F terminal?
Will, I’m honestly flummoxed as to why you put this towards the top of your personal card bonuses list. These miles can’t easily be topped off, and they are not especially easy to use. Fuel surcharges on Lufthansa group flights booked using these are eye-watering.
The portal does not seem to allow me to see points prices of flights so I am not aware how many points and surcharges are needed for flights. How were you able to check this?
I decided it was the #1 personal.
**55K Business roundtrips**.

How churnable is this? Barclays is supposed to be churn friendly (Aviator, here we come!) but the LH card application card has this:
