We posted yesterday about two new BB&T Spectrum Rewards personal credit cards, and a reader pointed out that they similarly rolled out a few new business credit cards: the Spectrum Cash Rewards business credit card, the Spectrum Travel Rewards business credit card, and the BB&T Bright for Business credit card. These cards are only available for signup in branch.
Like all BB&T products, these cards are only available for those in the following states:Â AL, DC, FL, GA, IN, KY, MD, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV.

Our Verdict
Like with the personal versions, the Spectrum Cash business card doesn’t come with any signup bonus and doesn’t look too too interesting for regular spend. On the other hand, the Spectrum Travel business card could be interesting for its $200 signup bonus. Note, this one does not have the $50 airline incidental credit.
The Visa Signature card also has a signup bonus and no spend requirement, but at 6,500 points it’s probably not worth doing.
Keep in mind again that you need to go in-branch to signup for these business cards (the personal cards are available online). Might be possible to signup for both the personal card and business card with a single credit pull, but that varies by the bank. Also not sure if BB&T business cards get reported on the credit report – if they don’t, it makes the decision easier to sign up for this $200 bonus.
Rats. According to their tweet, business cards associated with your SSN do show up on your personal credit report.
I might try to apply for both the personal and the business cards in-branch for the DP of whether they combine HP.
Thanks in advance if you do, would also like to know if the business card shows up on your credit report!
