Valid until July 28th, 2018

Our Verdict

Should be able to stack it with the American Express offer for $30/3,000 points when you spend $300+. That spend doesn’t need to be do in a single purchase, so you should be able to get $300 in various gift cards, $30 in best buy gift cards and then a further $30/3,000 points back.

Thanks Best Buy for reminding me why I tend to avoid shopping there. Deal is online and there’s a sign up in store, but the blue shirts don’t how to get it to work at the register. I wanted to get $50 Uber and $50 Hulu, but I was told it had to be $100 of the same gift card. So I went with $100 of Hulu. Still not working. A manager had to manually knock $5 off each Hulu GC (so, why, again did the GCs have to be the same?). Oh well got my gift cards on my Amex with the offer. I’ll come out ahead when all is said and done, but who knows when I’ll actually use the $10 Best Buy GC.

FYI, if you have the buybuybaby Amex off for 5 off 25 (20% off), they sell Uber gift cards, among others at my local brick and morter store.

Not if it’s an actual gift card. If it were an expiring promotional credit or something, I’m sure Doc would have mentioned it.

I know this may be very obscure but, anyone know if you can still use Best Buy gift cards to purchase prepaid cell phone cards (Cricket for example). I know they stopped the Best Buy to regular gift card purchases, but wasn’t sure on prepaid cell phone cards.

Tried buying cricket with them a few months ago and it didn’t work in store or online with Bestbuy GC’s.

With this problem and killing the 3rd party GCs I will avoid buying Best buy GCs from now on.

Thanks for that, I’ll be avoiding any promos that give a BB gift card as a bonus instead of $ off the top. I’d liquidate those promo gift cards on Cricket refills, as I don’t buy anything else from there.
