Streaming needs to be in bold capital letters multiple times. This card is junk

Has Disney + fixed the issue with the subscriptions and gift cards? Last time I tried to do this, they only allow the use of ONE gift card (so if you want the $138.95 or whatever annual plan, you have to get a card in that exact amount–which you can’t do– or use the $100 one or less).

Disney plus gift cards can not be used for the annual plan, they can only be used for a monthly Disney plus subscription or a disney bundle.

In case you bought a bunch of the wrong gift cards, Disney+ has a show called Behind the Attraction which is like going to Disney World.

How can I get a refund? I just realised these are Disney+ cards, not Disney Resorts cards. I bought $1k+ over a few best buy accounts.

You can’t. Sell it on 2nd hand gc markets if you can and eat your loss. Or have 15% off D+ for a few decades.

Unfortunately, 2nd hand gc markets don’t allow selling of disney + (even raise now has them restricted). There is virtually no marketplace for a high volume of disney+ gift cards.

I’ll just file a chargeback with a screenshot of the pre-edited blog, along with the flexlinkspro link. Thankfully I used amex

Ahh yes, the classic approach of not taking any responsibility by doing a chargeback 🙂

Lmao that ain’t gonna work. Buy D+ for everyone you know and going forward read the details on every deal YOURSELF. Quit depending solely on others. DoC is a starting point for adults who can read the deal details themselves. A couple minutes of looking at this yourself and you’d have seen it was for D+.

BTW- congrats on informing Amex you bought $1k worth of gc on your cc so they can claw back what little points you earned on the purchase a year from now. Icing on the Lesson Cake that move…

In addition, Best Buy will ban her for life from ever buying from them again. Even if Best Buy wins the chargeback, they still don’t recoup the chargeback fees so it costs them money.

The chargebacks worked. Even if I get banned from Best Buy, it was worth it. Thanks to the crazy commenters who keep me motivated!

Screenshot of the pre-edited blog? So you’re blaming the blog instead of not reading the product page on Best Buy before purchasing?

This is a really good way of both getting RAT eyes on your AmEx accounts and getting banned from ever doing business with Best Buy again. (Also, I’m somewhat skeptical that a third party blog post will be considered compelling evidence by AmEx or Best Buy.) Depending on the amount in question, could still be worth it, but just be fully aware of the potential downsides here.

lmao its funny because the other day you just told someone to use their brain and now you had to file a chargeback for not using your brain

Chuck This is incorrect. Please correct this post before people buy these cards in error. The discounted gift cards are only for Disney’s streaming service, Disney+, not for Disney cards usable at parks. Thanks!

Careful – these gift cards are only for Disney+ streaming and will NOT work at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disney Store, Disney Cruise Line, etc. (Not for nothing, the Disney+ credits on AmEx Blue Cash Preferred and AmEx Platinum personal are a better than 15% discount.)

Don’t make this family’s mistake!! https://www.newsweek.com/tiktok-disney-vacation-family-lost-money-gift-cards-1853817

Why would you try and pay for an entire trip with $10,000 in gift cards. These particular gift cards are usually only sold up to like $100-200 increments. So that required them buy a ton of cards to try and redeem which would be annoying to use.

With the right discount stacking it can be a really good deal that makes any associated hassle worth it. But obviously you need to buy the right gift cards for that to be true 🙃

J

Because Disneyworld, Disneyland, and Disney Cruise Line are all extremely pricey, so a 15% discount is a huge savings.

It seems you haven’t gone to Disneyworld or Cruise yet..once you go, you know why people are stacking whenever there is a chance…

We just used $4000 worth for a trip to Disneyland spread across 4 $1k cards that consisted of smaller denominations consolidated up to the $1k limit.

Half of this was just tickets. The other amount was for anything on-site, including parking, food and souvenirs.

If you couldn’t consolidate up to $1k per card then yeah it would suck but that’s not the case.

you’d be surprised. i’m not saying people put all $10K trips on disney gift cards using your example. You can get 20% of disney gift cards throughout the year. If you’re spending even $5K and save $1K…it’s a lot of money for a family who sometimes go into debt to afford a trip.
