The Offer

  • Bilt rent day for February 2025 is as follows.
    • Bilt Blue: 20% transfer bonus to Avianca LifeMiles
    • Bilt Silver: 40% transfer bonus to Avianca LifeMiles
    • Bilt Gold: 50% transfer bonus to Avianca LifeMiles

Our Verdict

Always nice when a transfer bonus is offered. Avianca LifeMiles isn’t the best option but should still be useful to some people.

Lifemiles is down… for a few days now… does Bilt know how awful Lifemiles can be?

It keeps getting worse. Thanks Kerr

Wonder if they’re anticipating an increase in competition with US flagged carriers.

Avianca? They’re bankrupt, and Dear Leader almost started another trade war with them. I wouldn’t transfer a single point to them, even with a 300% bonus.

Seems like a decent transfer but avianca sells their points for 160% bonus about once a month. Probably better to purchase them imo

I got 34k BILT points in my first year in rent payments and using the 5x bonus for taxes. Hopefully I can get a $1000 in value from the card with some more rent payments to break even with a SUB. The card has some potential but I know it will get worse lol.

FFS! The card has no annual fee, and it pays 1x points on rent, without charging any transaction fees (which otherwise are typically 2-3% on most platforms).

Sure, BILT capped ‘rent day’ at 1,000 bonus points, got rid of trivia, and lost AA as a transfer partner, but there’s still Hyatt and Alaska, which are still valuable (for now).

Honestly, I have no idea how BILT makes any money. Wells Fargo (and the ‘venture capitalist’ investors) must be fuming mad. ‘Get worse’ is more like ‘end abruptly.’

Yes, several complaints on the Facebook BILT Rewards MasterCard group about Rent Day promotions not as attractive as in 2023. Give a taste and then when you got them hooked increase the price and take away the benefits.

They also are giving away ‘free’ coffee (to the first 50 BILT members) at their ‘cafe’ in NYC… if you want to freeze your nuts off in the middle of winter just to be told you were #54 in line and can fuhgeddaboudit.

Save on the flight to NYC. Open a Capital One Venture X credit card and get discounted coffee from your local Capital One Cafe. If you travel at least once a year and use the C1VX OTA then you earn your AF back.

See, that’s where you’re wrong, kiddo. Already here. So I’ll save on the ‘walk’ to Bond St.

And since I’m usually LOL/24, there’s no Capital One anything, for me.

Personally, I prefer CSR for 3x Travel and the $300 annual credit. Better transfer partners, too (Hyatt, UA, etc.)–Sorry, but Accor and Wyndham just don’t cut it.

All that said, if I ever stop ‘churning’ at Chase, maybe I’ll give Capital One’s cards another try (woohoo, pull for all three credit bureaus, gee thanks!).

I did have a Capital One savings account, but they did try to screw me on the bonus and the interest rate. Beware, folks. They play dirty.
