Has anyone with Bilt Gold status had their Alaska MVP status match go through yet?

Meh. Previous transfer bonuses were more generous (75%-150%), Alaska Airlines itself is niche for Floridians (only flies nonstop between MCO and SEA/SFO/SAN/PDX). This could be great if you have a premium cabin redemption to Asia in mind, or have sights on Hawaii, but it’s even more niche than Virgin Atlantic, and the points harder to earn than most.

I went all-in on the February 125% bonus to Aeroplan…that was worth writing home about.

I find Alaska miles to be more valuable for booking partner airlines but with lower fees.

flying AA domestic via Alaska points has been great value from my experience. Different strokes different folks. I enjoy they are mixing it up, most transfer bonuses have been heavily skewed towards international travel

Hate that they charge $25 award fee for partners which is non refundable

This! and also AA prem Econ I’ve found value compared to using AA miles directly.

Alaska is not niche for FL. I have used those miles with their valuable parnets for years. Not to mention it works if you want to fly to Alaska. I never had issues spending my Alaska miles for great values. Last yr they had LAX to SYD via Fiji at low level. I booked it but switched to American when I found non stop low level space. Alaska miles are tough to get as well.

Also bilt gold and above can become Alaska MVP by converting 10K bilt points to Alaska. Wish I had a high enough CL to MS my way to bilt gold

Pretty cool. MVP status only lasts until end of 2024 though (per https://www.biltrewards.com/terms/rent-day-july24).

Other than what I’ve read about MVP Gold, anything out of the box that would be worth going for this? I probably won’t fly for another few months.

Sounds good, worth keeping BILT status for these bonuses.

DARN! Just transferred a ton to AA. Would have been nice to take advantage of 100% platinum bonus. Oh well

Haha, in the same boat – did a lot of thinking and felt the transfer to AA was justified
