Even at a 200% bonus this isn’t worth doing for most people unless you have a specific redemption in mind that represents good value.
I’m a little confused on hilton valuations lately. I found great value in them considering they are the only attainable high luxory/property on points left. High end properties can reguarly be found for 95,000 points all over the world including thailand, europe, etc… I’m of the mind that Hilton, coupled with their free night awards are the best in the game. Hyatt points (Due to 5/24 Chase max) has been limited for me for quite some time now. I’m considering the 200% transfer, anyone else?
You are right, but the main issue is that not all of us can stay at the super high end luxury Hilton/SLH properties. Hyatt, on the other hand, represents consistent 1.7cpp (or higher) across their entire portfolio, and there’s great value at some Cat 1-3 locations. But the power of transferable points like Bilt is that what works best for one isn’t always best for someone else, and Hilton 95-110k range is usually a solid redemption value.
If you go with the 0.5cpp redemption rate. This gives you 2cpp. Which would surpass that Hyatt valuation. Under default circumstances the Hyatt redemptions are superior though.
I agree, considering the base rate is already 1:2. If I can get 4 Hilton Points per bilt point, I’d take that deal any day.
