Bilt Rewards Adds United & Asia Miles As 1:1 Transfer Partner [Now Live]

Update 5/4/22: Asia miles transfers are now live.

Bilt Rewards has announced the addition of two new transfer partners that transfer at a rate of 1:1.

  • United
  • Asia Miles

United is live now and Asia Miles will launch in mid April. Bilt made significant changes late last year and then made it easier to pay rent and rewards earlier this year.

This card is almost like the CSR without the bonus. Prior to Bilt I had plans to keep my CSR anyway. Now that the Bilt card has access to Aeroplan, Hyatt, and United along with primary car rental coverage, trip delay and cancellation, I can’t find any good reason to keep the CSR anymore.

Sure I’ll lose 1x on travel but I’m not paying a $250 ($550 less the $300 travel credit) annual fee either.

For those who are going to carry the CSR long term, I think the Bilt card is a much better play.

For many, sure. But if you value the 1.5x on unbonused spend from the Freedom Unlimited, and the ability to buy any airline’s tickets at 1.5 cents per point (or at all), the CSR might be more compelling.

This is completely worthless unless they add a competitive SUB. I’m not wasting a 5/24 slot to pay a couple grand of rent a month.

waiting until it has a SUB before signing up for it.
currently i can pay $1000 in “rent”/ month, but i dont feel that the 12k points/ year is enough to justify a 5/24 slot.

Bilt is disappointing… it requires usage to build up to transfer at 1000 : 1000. You are first defaulted to 2000 : 2000.

For those who don’t have the ability to get any chase United cards and is in need of miles, I’ve gotten quite a bit of use so far with the 30-day double bonus on signup and the 3x restaurants. Just my thoughts (correct me if there is a better way for non-Chase United accrual).

I have had the card a few months. The change from mailing a check (which was a pain but they did have a good tracker in the app) to being able to setup an ACH withdrawal for the monthly rent payment was slick. 2X on travel is the big one though, and what makes this card so compelling since it has no annual fee. There are/were codes out there from various bloggers that made the application and acceptance instant, thus avoiding the waitlist. Solid offering, will be interesting to see how they scale this out.

Asia Miles is probably going to be aquired by Air China along with Cathay. Cathay is downgrading award tickets from J to Y or F to Y so its a useless program atm

Would love to see transfer bonus offers like Amex MR points.

Most of the comments so far are from people who don’t even have the card

My main gripe is the 1X base earn in this day and age of 1.5-2X/% cards. Perhaps they could add a choice between earning points on rent, but 1X base earn, or no rent earn but 1.5-2X base earn.

why would you even apply for this card then? there are a plethora of alternatives that offer what you’re looking for?

Because I like the transfer partners, no FTF, no AF, and it does earn 3X on dining.
