Breeze also includes a hefty service fee for using their website to purchase tickets as part of the “taxes and fees” line – definitely click on that little i icon before checkout to find out the breakdown of what they’re charging you! They claim you can save money by buying tickets at the airport counter, but at MCO for example, they are only open for one hour mid day on a Tuesday to do so.
Really annoying that they try to force you to an account for checkout.
Also deceptive how they only mention the base fare for discounting.
Anyways, for SAN PVD SAN , here’s the actual discount.
Base Fare: 208.93
Total Fare: 317.74
Discount: 94.02
Total: 223.72
Actual discount: 94.02/317.74 = 29.5 %.
For the same dates, you can fly AA for $316, so it’s cheaper to fly breeze (unless you want bags and have an AA CC).
