[Expired] AmEx Offer: 10% Back At Lowe’s, $100 Limit

Deal has expired, view more Lowe’s deals by clicking here.

The Offer

No direct link, targeted offer

  • Get 10% back as a statement credit by using your enrolled business card on eligible purchases in-store at Lowe’s or online at Lowes.com by 6/30/2019. Limit of $100 in total statement credits.

The Fine Print

  • Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels.
  • Offer valid in-store and online only at Lowes.com. Valid at participating locations in US. Valid U.S. website only. Excludes electronic gift cards and corporate gift cards. Excludes Porch.com, Lowe’s Zone, Lowe’s custom blinds & shades store, Resolve, Partsquik website, Lowes.com/giftcards, Lowesstore.wgiftcard.com and Lowes.com/activation.

Our Verdict

Keep in mind that electronic gift cards are excluded. Shopping portals do not earn cash back on gift card purchases, but for non gift card purchases you can go through a shopping portal and get an additional 5% cash back (highest rates here).  Lowe’s also sell a variety of third party gift cards, Chuck shared his experiences with a previous offer here. We just shared a popular 10% back at Staples deal as well.

Anyone have data points on doing a purchase on last day for this offer? I’m confident email will get triggered but not sure if credit will be received after expiry date. Help please…

I’ve purchased on the last day both online and in-store and my credit posted in two days.

If in store, it should post with today’s date and credit should be received.

Added to my non-biz/personal BCP by mistake, $100 posted in 2 days.

Can I use this more than once up to $1000 or one time only? Sometimes the offers are clearer one way or the other. Did 400 in visa cards on my schwab and got the thank you email but was going to wait for the actual cash back before doing the other 600.

Same terms it seems like last year’s and it was for each purchase up to the maximum amount. Simple to wait though as you should be credited within a few days and it doesn’t end until June.

Did you get the 10% back on the remaining $600 in purchases at Lowe’s along with the 10% on the first $400 in purchases?

Not on my Gold and Blue Cash cards.

I’m not seeing the Lowe’s or Staples 10% on any of my biz cards (AMEX Plat, Blue Biz Plus, or Hilton Biz). All I see is 1-800-Flowers and FedEx.

I’m only seeing the Boxed 10% offer, not Lowe’s or Staples. Are people that had the 10% offers last year getting them again?

I had and used all the 10% offers last year and have them again. I’m wondering if enrollment has been reached. Seems quick through.

I would have liked to get this instead of the boxed offer which is useless to me since I’m in Hawaii. But alas 0/3 for business cards and 0/6 personal.

Its available on my personal cards as well and I am able to add to multiple cards (different login trick). I thought we couldnt add the same offer to multiple cards anymore.

Is this a trap that Amex is laying out in the new year ?

I couldnt add it. It disappears, can you explain the steps you doing? It sucks they did this wonder keeping the card besides for the 6% cashback

Not going to risk adding to my personal card since the terms do say business. Not in the mood for claw backs or eyes.

Edit: Lowe’s also sells Kroger gift cards, so those that can or want to max their Gold card this is great for actual grocery shopping and gas (Kroger pumps take gift cards to stack with your Kroger points)

So how is buying kroger gc from Lowe’s going to help you max Gold grocery shopping cap?

Eric because I’ll max the 25k on “groceries” while I use this offer for gas and groceries.

I had it on my personal cards as well and i added it to those over my business cards.

I wonder if it will work since terms say business card.

Last go around didn’t they allow the deals to be added to the personal cards and then removed? I couldn’t remember if that was an issue so I added them to my business cards only. Given what Amex did with the Staples offer last go around, I’m sticking strictly to their terms.

so just what did happen “the last time around?” Wasn’t that more an issue for clawbacks for those “members” who’d loaded it on more than one card? Would be extraordinary for Amex to allow this offer to be loaded to personal cards — complete with the welcome message — and then later take it back, along the lines of, never mind we invited you to load this, it wasn’t meant for you?

Still wondering that. At least last time, Amex were technically targetting the non-profitable folks. But if they were to clawback because someone added a business offer to Personal card (which Amex allowed in the first place), the impact could be to the laymen as well.

Does lowes send L3 data to amex? You can max this out by buying 5×200 VGCs at my lowes.
