Our Verdict
There is also a $300 personal checking bonus. This bonus seems insanely easy to complete the requirements for and the $2,500 credit card funding is a nice bonus as well. This will be added to the best business checking bonuses.

Can I get a referral? Thanks! A(b)ei[r]ami @ berkeley.edu
The $300 business checking offer appears to be dead, bummer just missed it
Referral needed please; I live in Raleigh, NC. Thanks in advance.
Here’s one! https://excitecu.org/referred?rl_rN=F1588F2X8F14&rl_cnl=4&rl_t=14802096TQ8KGU3&rl_bz=370
This is a personal referral link, isn’t it?
It looks like it is – for a personal checking account. Which is a bit weird as I only have biz accounts with Excite. I can ask them for a biz referral link if you’re interested in one – please let me know! I wonder if having a personal account might make them opening a biz acct a smoother easier process.
Can I be sent a referral too? I an in SoCal, but Los Angeles. I do have a fictitious name. [email protected]
Has anyone gotten around the business license / fictitious name statement requirement? I’ve never needed to provide this for other business checking accounts for a small sole prop, but this one insists they need it to proceed.
“Aggregate deposits of $1500 or higher occurring monthly” what does this entail? 1500/month, deposits monthly totaling 1500+, or one deposit of 1500?
Can one do both personal and business bonuses?
P2 has a legitimate consulting business in Raleigh, NC. The NC field is the Wilmington, NC metro area, which is 1.5-2 hours away. P2 applied and was declined a few days later due to living outside of the footprinted area. Of note, the footprint included those who worship in the footprinted area…which is generally possible given the semi-proximity on P2’s end…but it wasn’t meant to be.
The takeway: you may need to live in the actual designated area, not just around it or a short-ish drive away from it. Better luck to others in our situation.

I used your referral but they asked about your home address and relationship then they can approve my application. So can I get it? [email protected]
Sounds sketch, Tell them I am an internet friend. If they want more detail, they can call me. They already called me before to verify someone else.
They are so bad. They said I don’t prove referral address then they can not open my account
Referral much appreciated!

They are very picky.
Unless you live close enough to their branches, even after account was opened, they would freeze it and require you to go in with whole bunch of document in person.
Does this account have same location requirements as personal?
I’m curious about this as well. As stated above, P2 was denied for the business account due to geographical issues. I’m guessing this is the same for a personal account, but would like confirmation if possible. Thanks!
