Reader Bockrr posted about an interesting credit card called ‘OceanAir Epic Rewards Credit Card’. The program is a bit unusual but here goes:
- No annual fee
- No sign up bonus (but has offered $150 in the past)
- Membership available to Ventura county other underserved counties in CA but there is an ACC option, YMMV
- Card earns at the following rates:

5 Points on Gas, Travel, and Hotel & Lodging Transactions
- 4 Points on Costco and Sam’s Club Transactions
- 3 Points on Groceries and Dining Transactions
- 2 Points on Utilities and Streaming Service Transactions
- 1.5 Points on All Other Transactions

- $5 fee for redeeming points
Not sure I’ve ever seen a charge for redeeming points like that. Don’t think it’s worth considering unless a sign up bonus returns or if you’re doing significant volume and if you are I imagine you’d get shut down quickly.
